For the first time, the Facility Management & Real Estate Management WinterSchool will take place 100% digitally. Students from all over the world are invited to participate in the WinterSchool@Home. Be part of it and work on a sustainable real estate development project.
This is a unique opportunity for an intercultural exchange from home. Special times, require special solutions and we see this as a chance to offer the already for 10 years established and excellent WinterSchool to even more students and universities.

The FM & REM WinterSchool organized by the degree course Facility & Real Estate Management has started 2012 for the first time.
International & interdisciplinary

The FM & REM WinterSchool is an international program where students from the US, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and other countries work together. Every year more than 200 students came to Kufstein (2021 100% digitally) for one week during the winter to develop a sustainable urban real estate project. The students have to solve the tasks in the content of Real Estate Development, Architectual Design, Facility Management, Projekt Management, Energy Management and Real Estate Marketing.
They work in teams of 6-12 students (depenidg on the task) on a conceptual competition and get an extensive project task at the beginning of the WinterSchool. Furthermore we will give them plans, detailed information and helpful working papers.

Knowledge & networking

Adjusted to the Facility & Real Estate Management WinterCongress takes its place also in the facilities of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein. The WinterCongress starts usually one daybefore the start of the WinterSchool and is focused on current management trends. The WinterCongress is also an international established meeting point for experts of the branch of Facility Management and Real Estate Management, where contacts can be established. Likewise, there are also many national and international experts who work as coaches in the WinterSchool and share their knowledge with the students in coaching sessions.
Networking and specialized knowledge is the future of a successful international work environment. The participants get the chance to listen 30 different interesting presentations or use the opportunity to get in touch with the lectures and other participants. Perhaps you get'll to know the employee or your boss of tomorrow.
The WinterCongress will be the next time 2022!

Experts coaching & self learning

With the support of the experts, the students have to challenge and solve realistic and practice related problems in the context of the topic of the WinterSchool. The students gather in international-mixed-teams to solve the problems and can demonstrate and improve their knowledge and skills in engineering, business, facility management, finance, architecture, real estate management and project management. Case-related lectures are offered to cover possible gaps in knowledge and expertise, furthermore the students can request individually support of a specialist where needed.
The coaches prepare different small lectures to convey the necessary knowledge. During the project working time the students can "book" the coaches to ask questions and get more information. While working on the project the students can enhance their knowledge and have the chance to get to know different views and working methods of facility & real estate management from international colleagues.
